So, always make sure to specify the brand and quality of the items you want when requesting a quotation. Don’t forget to ask for the exact brands you prefer…

The most important point is this: never ask only for the price of a 1/.044″ wire roll and then purchase the entire order from that shop… Because, based on the way you ask, some shopkeepers may assess you and quote an unbelievably low price—or even a price lower than their actual cost—for that particular item… Do you think they are doing that because they love you…? No, no, no… Don’t be fooled… What they are trying to do is make you happy with a low price on one item so that they can make a much bigger profit from you on the other items… When you see that the wire is cheap, you may be tempted to purchase everything from the same shop without checking the prices and quality of the other items… That is exactly where you can make a mistake… They may give you the wire at a very low price and then recover two or three times that loss by selling lower-quality products to you at higher prices… Therefore, never choose a shop simply because one item is cheaper. Always check the prices of the complete quotation, the quality of the items, and whether the items are available in the exact colours you requested before making the purchase…

Point 3

When purchasing wires, always specify the brand and type of wire you need… Because even within the same brand, there can be several different types of wires… Based on our experience, we can recommend Kelani Fire Shield wires and ACL Fire Guard wires. Both of these brands also have lower-priced wire options… These are Kelani Power Plus Wires and ACL Super PVC Wires…

Point 4

Protection items… That means the Main Switch, Trip Switch, and MCB. Even for these items, you should select a quality brand that has a good reputation in the market… Based on our experience, the protection items we can confidently recommend are the Orange brand Sigma type, which comes with a Lifetime Warranty… Some other brands also offer Lifetime Warranties… However, if a protection device fails to operate properly during an emergency and your life is put at risk… the decision is yours…

Everyone likes to purchase wiring items at the lowest possible price, right…? So, when you ask for a quotation for conduits, some shopkeepers may include very cheap yellow-coloured pipes that do not have proper fire-retardant properties… Always remember this… These yellow conduit pipes are not designed to reduce the spread of fire; they can actually contribute to the spread of fire… We always recommend white-coloured Polycrome Conduits with proper Fire Retardant Properties… So, whether you want to save money by purchasing cheaper conduits or protect the lives of your loved ones is ultimately your decision…

Shopkeepers will always try to convince you that their shop offers the lowest prices in order to secure your order… Many people who do not have a proper understanding of wiring items get attracted by low prices and unknowingly put their lives at risk… Bus Bars and Earth Rods are two items that can make a quotation look significantly cheaper… There are some low-quality Earth Rods that can start corroding and deteriorating just a few months after being installed in the ground… Similarly, there are some Bus Bars that can even bend when you apply pressure by hand… But if you care about safety, we recommend quality Kevilton Bus Bars and Earth Rods…

The prices of switches and sockets can vary from brand to brand, type to type, and even colour to colour… If you want to purchase switches or sockets according to your budget while still selecting a product you prefer, based on our experience, we recommend switches from Kevilton, ACL, and Connect… This is an important point to consider when getting quotations… If you are comparing quotations from several shops, always make sure that you get quotations for the same brand, the same type, and the same colour of switches and sockets before comparing prices… For example, if you get a quotation from one shop for Kevilton White Series and another quotation from a different shop for Kevilton Modular Series in Black, the prices will naturally be different… In that case, you could end up choosing the wrong shop based on an unfair comparison…

Point 8

When getting a quotation, don’t accept an unclear quotation written in difficult-to-read handwriting. Ask for a properly prepared quotation containing the complete details of every item… Because some sellers may say they are providing Orange Sigma with a Lifetime Warranty, but when you purchase the items, they may give you Orange Alpha, which has a Five-Year Warranty, or even provide a different brand… Now it should be clear, right, how some electrical shops can deceive customers…? Will you get deceived and put your life at risk, or will you make the correct decision and protect the lives of your loved ones…? The decision is yours…!
